Real Madrid need to bring in reinforcements as soon as possible. We are seeing a repeat of last season right now. Carlo Ancelotti’s side have made a fantastic start to the campaign but players are starting to go down with injuries left, right and centre. The likes of Thibaut Courtois and Eder Militao are dealing with potentially season-ending ACL injuries.

Aurelien Tchouameni is expected to remain out on the sidelines for the foreseeable future as well. During this international break, the names of Vinicius Junior and Eduardo Camavinga were added to the injury list. Arda Guler has not even made his debut but has already picked up three separate injuries.

Squad depth was an issue to begin with and following the injuries, Ancelotti has little to no options left to pick from. Even putting out a strong starting XI will become an issue at this rate.

So, the club could do with more players. But as reported by Jose Felix Diaz (via Madrid Xtra), Nico Williams got offered to Real Madrid but his signing is not being considered.

Williams is one of the brightest young talents in La Liga right now. His performances with Athletic Bilbao have seen him being linked with clubs like Arsenal, Liverpool, FC Barcelona, Real Madrid and more.

There is believed to be a €50 million release clause in his current deal with Athletic Bilbao, which runs out next summer. But there have been suggestions that Williams does not intend to leave his boyhood club as a free agent.

At the moment, it looks like Real Madrid are not considering making a move for the 21-year-old Spanish international. Let’s see if the situation changes, especially if their results start to head south with so many key players out injured.
