Real Madrid interested in signing ‘Next Lionel Messi’

Real Madrid are always on the lookout for the brightest young talents from around the globe. The club have been very successful in developing wonderkids into global superstars under their watch at Santiago Bernabeu. Names like Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo, Eduardo Camavinga and Fede Valverde fall under that category.

There are high hopes surrounding Arda Guler as well. Endrick will be arriving at the club this summer but has already made his debut for the Brazil national team at just 17 years of age. And it looks like there is another Palmeiras wonderkid who Real Madrid have on their radar.

Estavao is 16 years old and has not even made his senior debut for Palmeiras yet. But he is shining at the ongoing FIFA U-17 World Cup. He has earned himself comparisons with a certain Lionel Messi and the nickname ‘Messinho’.

As tweeted out by Jorge C. Picon, Real Madrid and Barcelona follow Estevao. He has a €60 million clause.

Let’s see if Real Madrid end up making a move for Estevao. It would not be much of a surprise if they did. Those are the types of signings that Los Blancos have made in recent years.

But there is expected to be competition for his signature. The interest in signing Estevao is expected to increase further following his performances at the FIFA U-17 World Cup.

One advantage that Real Madrid have over many other clubs is their proven record of developing Brazilian wonderkids into first-team regulars. The presence of players like Rodrygo, Vinicius, Eder Militao and Endrick could help the in any potential deal for Estevao in the future as well.

It is believed that Real Madrid agreed a €60 million package with Palmeiras for Endrick. The Brazilian club are expected to look for a similar figure for Estevao.
