Real Madrid and Chelsea have been following somewhat of a similar transfer strategy over the last few years. Signing some of the most highly-rated young talents from around the world and then looking to develop them into key players. In that respect, one has to say the Los Blancos are several steps ahead.

They have found great success with the likes of Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo, Eduardo Camavinga, Fede Valverde and more. Endrick, who is yet to even arrive at Real Madrid, is already in the Brazil national team picture at just 17 years of age.

Things have been much less fruitful for Chelsea in this regard. That being said, things do seem to be falling into place, with players like Cole Palmer showing flashes of quality.

The two clubs seem to have a common transfer target. But signing him will not be easy for either of them.

As reported by ESPN, Chelsea have joined a number of clubs in tracking Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. Manchester City, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Newcastle United are believed to be among the teams also interested in the Georgian. His current club are in a strong position though as he has a contract until 2027 and talks are said to be progressing well over a new deal.

Kvaratskhelia joined Napoli in the summer of 2022 and quickly established himself as one of the biggest young talents in all of Europe. The winger was one of the biggest reasons behind the Italian club winning the Serie A title for the first time since Diego Maradona’s stint in Naples.

Someone like Kvaratskhelia would be an excellent signing for Real Madrid. But there is a lot of competition for his signature and the transfer fee is expected to be around €100 million if not higher.
