Real Madrid’s midfield department is considered one of the best in the world in terms of talent and depth. The competition for a place in the starting XI has been so intense that Luka Modric, a Ballon d’Or winner, is struggling to get consistent minutes. That could change due to the fitness situation though.

The current situation at the club is one that will worry the fans. The only fit midfielders right now are Modric, Toni Kroos, Brahim Diaz and Fede Valverde. Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni are both expected to remain out for the foreseeable.

There is some positive news for the club on the injury front. As tweeted out by Miguel Angel Diaz, Carlo Ancelotti is confident of Jude Bellingham and Dani Ceballos recovering for the match against Cadiz.

That is a fantastic update for Real Madrid. Let’s wait and see if the duo are in the squad to take on Cadiz.

Bellingham has been the star of the season till now. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 13 goals and provided 3 assists across all competitions in 14 appearances for Real Madrid.

Recently the Englishman won the Golden Boy award for being the best under-21 player in Europe. He also received the Kopa trophy at the Ballon d’Or ceremony.

Ceballos’ season on the other hand hasn’t been very productive so far. He has been dealing with fitness issues. The Spaniard signed a contract extension with the club not too long ago but has yet to start a game in this campaign till now.

Nonetheless, with Bellingham and Ceballos recovering, Ancelotti will have something to celebrate in these difficult times. Camavinga and Vinicius Junior, two of Real Madrid’s most important players, both suffered injuries during the recent international break and will be out for a while.
