One of the reasons Liverpool have been so successful under the management of Jurgen Klopp is their ability to identify and sign the right players. The Reds rarely go after the biggest names available but they do often manage to get the best out of those who they end up signing. Could one of them end up at Real Madrid in the future?

Liverpool needed a midfield rebuilt over the summer, with Jordan Henderson and Fabinho both leaving the club. The Reds went on to meet the £60 million release clause in Dominik Szoboszlai’s RB Leipzig contract and brought him to Anfield.

Szoboszlai has impressed immensely since joining Liverpool and has been one of their best players. Statistically, he might not be putting up significant numbers but he is vital to Klopp’s side for sure and has started every game in the Premier League for them this season so far.

As reported by Index, Hungarian football legend Gyorgy Mezey said about Szoboszlai:

"“But if Dominik were to leave Liverpool, I could only imagine him at Real Madrid. Where Ferenc Puskás was once the star. If Szoboszlai were to sign there, the circle would be closed.”"

Someone like Szoboszlai could certainly succeed at Real Madrid. That being said, the club are already stacked in the middle of the park.

They have players like Jude Bellingham, Aurelien Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga and Fede Valverde, all of whom are expected to remain important parts of the club for years to come. Other than that, they have legends like Toni Kroos and Luka Modric, as well as a solid squad player in Dani Ceballos.

So, it is hard to see Real Madrid making a move to sign Szoboszlai anytime soon. The Hungarian international has been doing brilliantly at Liverpool and that should be his focus for now.

Never say never in football though. If Szoboszlai can continue performing at a high level, one cannot rule out the possibility of Real Madrid making a move for the Hungarian someday.
