Real Madrid are always linked with the best young talents around Europe. Just this past summer, they signed Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund for a transfer package believed to be around €134 million. Just a few months later, that is looking like a bargain figure as the Englishman has arguably been the best player in the world this season so far.

There are numerous other high-profile names Real Madrid are rumoured to be monitoring. One of them is Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Kvaratskhelia joined Napoli in the summer of 2022 and immediately established himself as one of the best talents in Europe. He played a key part as the side from Naples won their first Serie A title since Diego Maradona’s time at the club. Unsurprisingly, he has been linked with some of the biggest teams in Europe.

As reported by Calciomercato.it, Chelsea in the front row to reach an agreement with Napoli for Kvaratskhelia. It could take an offer north of €100 million to sign him. Manchester City and Real Madrid could also participate in the transfer race for the Georgian winger.

Kvaratskhelia made an unbelievable start to life at Napoli last season. One has to point out though that his form did fade away somewhat as the 2022/23 campaign progressed.

Kvaratskhelia has made a decent but not phenomenal start to this season. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 4 goals and provided 5 assists in 16 appearances in the 2023/24 campaign till now.

Those are good numbers but he has shown in the past that he is capable of more. But, such ups and downs are to be expected, especially for a winger who is just 22 years of age. Napoli’s form as a whole has dipped this season as well following a change in managers, with Luciano Spalletti leaving after their Serie A triumph.
