Real Madrid could hand world-class player to Liverpool
Real Madrid have been linked with a number of players in recent times as it is pretty clear that Los Blancos need to improve their squad. There are a number of holes that need to be filled and the lack of options has to be considered as one of the key reasons why they have been dealing with so many injury problems as well.
For years, Kylian Mbappe has been considered Real Madrid’s dream signing. It remains to be seen if the French World Cup winner will end up at Santiago Bernabeu in the near future or not.
His current deal at PSG is set to run out next summer and so far, he has not signed an extension and does not look likely to do so either. Most people believe that Real Madrid are his most likely destination if he was to leave the French capital.
Liverpool are another side believed to be in the race to sign Mbappe. But their chances of signing him appear to depend on Real Madrid.
Real Madrid could hand world-class player to Liverpool
As reported by talkSPORT, L’Equipe journalist Loic Tanzi said about the Mbappe situation:
"“Liverpool wanted him when he was playing for Monaco.“Klopp went to see him and they were negotiating while they were on the plane.“The relationship between him, Liverpool, and Klopp is there. I think they have a chance.“If Madrid decide to let him go, and they don’t want him anymore, I think Liverpool have a chance.”"
It remains to be seen what Real Madrid decide to do regarding a potential move for Mbappe. There have been conflicting rumours in recent times.
Some have suggested that Real Madrid do not want to sign Mbappe anymore. Others have claimed that a move will be made soon with his contract at PSG running down.
To be honest, the chance to sign a player of Mbappe’s calibre as a free agent does not come around often. So, if the opportunity does present itself, one would expect and hope for Real Madrid to take it. It is not hard to understand why the club are holding their cards close to their chest, considering past events.
