Real Madrid superstar Jude Bellingham may require surgery
Real Madrid’s injury problems show no sign of ending this season. The team is without a number of important players due to long-term injuries already and it seems that when one player recovers, another takes his place on the sidelines. Could Los Blancos have to do without Jude Bellingham soon as well?
Thibaut Courtois and Eder Militao suffered ACL injuries early in the campaign. Aurelien Tchouameni, Vinicius Junior and Eduardo Camavinga are all sidelined as well.
Bellingham also suffered a shoulder injury recently. However, the Englishman has made his return and continues to deliver on the pitch.
But just because he is back playing does not mean that he has fully recovered from his issue. As tweeted out by Mario Cortegana, a final decision has to be made, but Bellingham has a good chance of having surgery at some point to fix his shoulder problem.
Real Madrid superstar Jude Bellingham may require surgery
Bellingham suffered his shoulder injury in early November against Rayo Vallecano, which saw him miss a couple of games for Real Madrid and prevented him from representing the England national team during the recent international break. Hopefully, the issue remains manageable, which it seems to be at the moment.
It is possible that Bellingham could wait until the end of the season to get surgery. However, due to EURO 2024 being played next summer, that would be an unlikely scenario.
With the number of injuries Real Madrid are currently dealing with, the team cannot afford to lose their top scorer and best player for any considerable length of time. Bellingham has still been playing at a world-class level so it will be interesting to see what decision is taken regarding the shoulder issue. Of course, it is possible that the England international might not end up needing surgery after all.
