Real Madrid are going to be travelling to face Racing Santander in the league on Sunday night, with the hopes of gaining three points out of three.
Jose Mourinho is expected to make a couple of rotations because of the number of games and the amount of travel and lack of rest in the coming week.
It remains to be seen whether Mourinho makes many changes against Racing Club, or in Greece when they go up against AEK Athens, or both, but there are three players who must start on Sunday night.
Real Madrid fans have long awaited for minutes for some players, and due to some reason or the other, it just has not happened. Some players who deserve to play more than they have strictly have been sitting on the bench, and the hope is for them to start on Sunday and get a chance to impress Mourinho.
3 non-negotiable starters for Real Madrid's trip to Racing Santander
Carlos Espi
Espi has yet to start a single game for Real Madrid this season despite impressing the manager on more than one occasion. The player simply deserves a start, and this would be the best time to do it. Real Madrid would need a tall presence if Racing Club start sitting back and sustain all pressure from the away side, so having Espi in the starting XI will be crucial in that sense, too. Whether Kylian Mbappe gets benched or not is a topic worth exploring, but Espi should start over him in this game, at least.
Endrick
Endrick has played on the right wing a bunch of times this season, and that should convert into a start on Sunday night. He was the main catalyst in Real Madrid's comeback against Roma, and he would love to get another chance to start on the right wing despite having a poor performance against Sevilla a couple of days after the comeback in Rome.
Trent Alexander-Arnold
For one reason or the other, Trent Alexander-Arnold just has not played many minutes in the last few weeks. First, he was losing a battle to Denzel Dumfries despite being the better full-back out of the two, and now, it is Fede Valverde on that side, too, which makes things quite difficult for the Englishman. However, he deserves a chance against Racing Club to show Mourinho that he is making a big mistake keeping him on the bench, and he deserves the full 90 minutes on the night.
