Real Madrid are finally returning to action this Saturday as they host Villarreal at the Bernabeu. It has been three weeks since the international break started, and Real Madrid now will play their first game since their loss to Atletico Madrid in September.

There are a lot of players in the squad who have had some mediocre performances, but there have been some who have shown a lot of character, especially during the international break. Villarreal are going to be a very difficult team to manage, and Real Madrid must start these three players if they want any chance of winning such a tough game at such a crucial point in their La Liga campaign.

Here are the three non-negotiable starters for Real Madrid to face Villarreal on Saturday:

1. Jude Bellingham

Bellingham has not only had a brilliant season for Real Madrid so far, but he was also exceptional for England during this extended international break.

He scored a great goal and also had some incredible performances, from being the best player on the England team against Spain to creating three assists and scoring a goal against Croatia in a 7-0 thrashing. Bellingham was at the heart of everything good that came from this England team.

He has to be the first name on the team sheet for Real Madrid at any cost, and the international break just proved exactly that.

2. Bernardo Silva

Bernardo Silva is the only Real Madrid midfielder who can play deep but can also circulate the ball well enough to not be troubled by any of the opposition players. He is the most confident midfielder on the ball that Real Madrid have.

Against a team that presses as high as Villarreal, they need some of their press-resistant midfielders to be playing at any cost.

It will be difficult for Real Madrid to win this game without the services of Silva because of the amount of pressure that Real will put on their midfielders, which is why Silva needs to start to help Real Madrid keep the ball as much as possible throughout the match.

3. Trent Alexander-Arnold

Trent is also among the players who had a really good international break. He had a big role to play for England during the break, and registered an assist for Anthony Gordon as well. He was generally really good for England, and that has been the case for his club career as well at Real Madrid.

He has been the better right back out of him and Denzel Dumfries on both ends of the pitch. Against Villarreal, Trent's long-range passing and crossing will be really, really important, especially when Villarreal press his Real Madrid teammates.

For them to have a player who can ping the long-range pass with just one touch will be really important to go for. If Real Madrid want to win, they should definitely start Trent as their right back on the night.
