Real Madrid have dropped another transfer bomba on their fans, except this time they are not signing a new player, though Rodri is close. This time, Real Madrid are selling two players to their old manager Alvaro Arbeloa, handing the Cottagers two of their very best prospects in striker Gonzalo Garcia and attacking midfielder Cesar Palacios.
Per a report from MARCA, via the Madrid Zone, Real Madrid have sold Palacios to the Premier League side for just 10 million euros in exchange for 70 percent of his rights.
But the real blockbuster money maker - and a transfer Real Madrid could one day regret - is Gonzalo Garcia heading to London for 40 million euros, per Fabrizio Romano.
After these two big sales to Alvaro Arbeloa and Fulham, here are three more standouts who could leave Real Madrid this summer permanently.
CM Eduardo Camavinga
Jose Mourinho has already told Eduardo Camavinga he can leave, and when he tells someone to go, he really wants them gone. Whereas Mou changed his mind on several players and actually really wanted to keep Gonzalo Garcia after seeing him in training, the Portuguese manager wants nothing to do with a stagnating Camavinga, who has been on the transfer list for months. And with Rodri set to join, there is no space for the Frenchman.
AM Brahim Diaz
Brahim Diaz is a player Jose Mourinho actually does like, and the endorsement from the new manager is probably the only thing keeping the Moroccan international at the Santiago Bernabeu. Although he played a key niche role in Real capturing the 2024 Champions League title and was brilliant in the knockouts this year vs. former employers Manchester City, he doesn't have the qualities of a top No. 10 nor is he athletic enough on the wings. With Yan Diomande set to officially join the Merengue cause soon, Brahim is a player Real are probably going to have to sell to clear more space.
CB Raul Asencio
Out of these three players, Raul Asencio is the biggest priority to sell for sure. Whereas Eduardo Camavinga is a big talent on paper and Brahim has been productive for Real Madrid, Asencio has been a huge disappointment. He looked amazing in 2024/25 and is still trying to prove himself to Mourinho, but after his petulance under Alvaro Arbeloa helped undermine the team and he played like one of the worst center backs in La Liga, there is no real path forward for Asencio. At this point, he is blocking Mourinho from making a better center back signing like Spanish World Cup winner Aymeric Laporte.
