The time is almost here, and EA Sports FC 26 will soon return. The all-encompassing soccer game, formerly known as FIFA, has a worldwide audience, and all eyes are currently on the player ratings.

Real Madrid boasts the highest rating in the game, with Kylian Mbappé rated at 91. This is matched by Rodri and Erling Haaland, but no player has a higher rating than 91.

The FC 26 rating system encompasses many different player traits to give an overall rating. It is worth noting that the top eight players are all outfield players, and none of them are defenders. Therefore, a case could certainly be made that there is an injustice in the rating system that benefits midfielders and attackers.

Either way, these three Real Madrid players will certainly feel hard done by.

3 criminally underrated Real Madrid players in EA Sports FC 26

1. Aurélien Tchouaméni

Without a shadow of a doubt, Aurélien Tchouaméni deserved to be rated higher than he is rated.

The French midfielder picked up a rating of just 84, which is one less rating from last season. It's an understatement to say he deserves higher.

Aurélien Tchouaméni is one of the best defensive midfielders in the world. You could even make a case that right now, he is the best defensive midfielder in the world. A rating of 84 doesn't reflect that in the slightest.

2. Arda Güler

This one isn't EA's fault, but Arda Güler being rated at just 82 is criminal.

Arda Güler is in the form of his life, and he will surely receive a boosted rating as the season goes on - EA will realize they got this one wrong and they will rectify the mistake.

Arda Güler was hardly given enough playing time last season, so it would be difficult for EA to justify a higher rating than this, we can understand that.

However, speaking on talent alone, Güler is easily a higher rating than 82. Like we said, this one will be revised when Güler only continues to shine in the new Xabi Alonso system.

3. Rodrygo

At face value, Fede Valverde being rated at 85 doesn't seem too bad. That's quite a high rating, right?

However, when context is taken into account of the worldwide players around him, Real Madrid fans will be fuming at this rating.

Yes, Rodrygo is rated the same as Antoine Griezmann and one less than Lionel Messi and Marc Andre ter Stegen (yes, Messi and ter Stegen in 2025).

Rodrygo is far better than Messi and Griezmann nowadays; that doesn't seem too far-fetched to say. Even if we remove our Real Madrid-tinted goggles, yes, Rodrygo is still twice the player they are.

Firstly, Rodrygo actually plays - Unlike Messi, who has one foot out the retirement door.

We're not campaigning for Rodrygo to be rated higher. It just seems bizarre that EA squeezed Griezmann into the same bracket, thinking nobody would notice.
