Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has made it clear on multiple occasions this month that minutes are going to be hard to come by, and while he needs all hands on deck in terms of depth for a grueling season, all the players, regardless of their status or ego, need to realize that only XI can play on any given day.

But even so, there are bound to be players who become frustrate with their lack of a role in the squad. Here are three players who are bound to get upset with Mourinho and Madrid for not playing enough in the 2026/27 La Liga season.

CF Endrick

Endrick is not going to leave on loan this summer transfer window despite plenty of interest around European football, including from big clubs in the Premier League, as Jose Mourinho has been pretty consistently saying that he sees the Brazilian international as important despite everything else pointing towards the contrary being true.

Injured for the opener against Espanyol, Endrick watched as new signing Carlos Espi scored the winner, and with so much attacking talent and now Espi emerging as a real find at the 9, Endrick is going to find minutes very hard to come by.

CM Eduardo Camavinga

Jose Mourinho and Real Madrid have already made it crystal clear to Eduardo Camavinga that they want him out the door, and if the Frenchman insists on staying at the Santiago Bernabeu, he is going to find it very hard to crack the lineup. One thing working in his favor is the fact that the double pivot of Fede Valverde and Bernardo Silva did not exactly convince against Espanyol, but Camavinga was so poor last season that they were still ahead of what he was providing the team in the 2025/26 campaign.

CB Raul Asencio

It might seem like a cop out to include Raul Asencio, but other players like Aurelien Tchouameni and Brahim Diaz seem much more amenable to lacking minutes. On the one hand, it is easy for Raul to say that he wants to stay in Madrid and fight to impress Jose Mourinho, but the problem is the quality is lacking. And there are better prospects at the center back position who actually are impressing Mou and have both better technical ability and reading of the game. Asencio may grow frustrated buried on the depth chart and eventually acquiesce to what Mou wanted all along by requesting a transfer.
