Real Madrid thrashed Leipzig 4-1 in the Champions League to make it three wins from three matches in the competition for the fourth time in the last five years.
Goals from Bernardo Silva, Yan Diomande, Kylian Mbappe and Arda Guler were enough for the team to take the three points in the final match before the Clasico on Sunday.
It was a great second-half performance, and even though the first half lacked a bit of spark from the team, it was still enough to put Real Madrid ahead.
After Diomande came on, everything changed, and Real Madrid started playing considerably better.
4 stars and 1 flop from Real Madrid's Champions League demolition of Leipzig
Yan Diomande - star
What a player. Yan Diomande only played a handful of minutes in the second half, but was able to register a goal and an assist from the left wing once again. Much like his performance in the win over Sevilla, Diomande was simply breathtaking on that side for Real Madrid once again, and showed exactly why the club paid so much money to sign him.
A thunderous half-volley put Real Madrid ahead by three goals, after an assist to Kylian Mbappe restored his team's two goal lead. Brilliant performance, and Diomande is now getting closer to becoming a full-time starter for Real Madrid.
Arda Guler - star
It is becoming too easy to praise Guler's performances after every match, and that's not a complaint. Once again, the Turkish international was brilliant for Real Madrid, as he was able to register a goal through the simplest of finishes. If you remove that, you're left with a great creative performance from the right side of the pitch. Guler was creating chances for his teammates, and was also able to dribble past players to create space quite easily. This wasn't the performance like the one from the win over Sevilla, but it was still pretty good.
Eduardo Camavinga - star
Camavinga has not had great performances for a while, but this was pretty good. It was his first start for Real Madrid since the international break, and it looked like he was carrying over his form for France to his club, too. Good stint at DM alongside Bernardo Silva, and looked much more mobile and active than his French counterpart.
Kylian Mbappe - star
A well-taken goal and an assist to Guler's easy finish were a couple of good highlights from Mbappe in the second half. His first half performance was not great, but he greatly improved in the second, and was able to link up well with Diomande.
Vinicius Junior - flop
Not sure where everything is going wrong for the Brazilian. Yet another bad performance. Diomande provided so much more in limited minutes than Vinicius Junior, and it is now a case of when Mourinho realises that this player is not good enough to start for Real Madrid.
