Real Madrid are giving out contracts to some of their best-performing players, and after Arda Guler, it will be time for Thibaut Courtois and Jude Bellingham to renew their contracts at Real Madrid.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid are very close to reaching an agreement with Courtois to renew his contract until 2028, and they have also begun talks with Jude Bellingham to extend his stay at the biggest club in the world until 2032.

These are the two most consistent players Real Madrid have had in the last few years, especially Courtois, and the renewal, despite the Belgian's age, was always going to be on the cards. Courtois has shown that he wants to retire at Real Madrid, and he's also shown that he is still performing at a ridiculously high level, which is why offering him a contract until 2028 makes a lot of sense.

Jude Bellingham and Thibaut Courtois are Real Madrid's most vocal leaders

Despite him being 34 years old, he's still the best goalkeeper in the world by far, and Real Madrid should do anything they can to extend his services for as long as possible. Obviously, there will come a time when Courtois will not be the best goalkeeper in the world, but until that happens, Real Madrid have got to keep him around.

Look at the Inter match, for example. Courtois is the only player responsible for that win because of the amount of godly saves that he made during that match. He was still as athletic as he has ever been, and it just looks like this brilliant part of his career at the biggest club in the world will likely continue on the same trajectory for at least a couple more years.

With Bellingham, it is similar, but it's on the other end of the trajectory. Bellingham is still very, very young. He's only 23 years old, but he is already showing up like a leader for this Real Madrid team.

Everyone knows the commanding goals and assists he provides to the team, but the main thing that he does, which pleases fans, is his ability to work hard and get dirty whenever the team needs him to be. He's always trying to increase the mental levels of his teammates and himself, and that is exactly why Bellingham needs to remain at the club for as long as humanly possible.

There is no doubt in my mind that the Englishman will eventually become the sole leader of this Real Madrid team, if he already isn't. And even until then, Bellingham is going to remain an incredibly important player for the club.

These are the two most obvious contract extensions that Real Madrid could have done, and after Guler and Vinicius Junior, these two had to be on the list.
