Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli is interested in launching a world-record transfer bid, around €350m, to sign Vinicius Junior from Real Madrid.

Vinicius Junior is the best player in the world. Or at least he was the best player in the world in 2024, despite what the unfair personal awards might suggest.

In 2025, Real Madrid are presented with a nice problem. Both Vinicius Junior are competing to become the best player in the world, but it is not toxic, and they encourage each other to excel.

Despite Real Madrid facilitating the personal growth of Vinicius Junior, there is an underlying anxiety about his future. Indeed, as the best player in the world, there are clubs who would jump at the chance of signing him.

Let's not beat around the bush here - Saudi Arabia want to bring Vinicius Junior to their country to represent their emerging Saudi Pro League. This is common knowledge, with officials even claiming Vini's arrival is a matter of when, not if.

According to a new report from Ben Jacobs of Team Talk, Real Madrid has even more cause for concern. Jacobs claims that Al-Ahli is plotting a gigantic bid of €350m, which would shatter the current transfer record.

The bid is expected to be submitted this summer. Real Madrid, understandably, wishes to keep ahold of Vinicius Junior and the player himself has reinstated his happiness in the Spanish capital.

In the past, Real Madrid has responded with a simple instruction - Pay Vini's €1b release clause, or clear off. On that note, there's a reason why his release clause is so high, and it's a message from Real Madrid that he's here to stay.

Nevertheless, all of these conditions could soon change if Vinicius Junior is convinced. Historically, Real Madrid has been the club to represent. It will continue to be the club whether or not Vini stays but let's not be naive enough to think that money cannot sway players.

We hope that Vinicius Junior stays in the Spanish capital. He is a club legend, and having won it all already, staying at Real Madrid is a surefire way to etch himself into the history books.

We'll see how this story continues to progress. Let's add a few more trophies into that illustrious cabinet to sweeten Vini's mind before the summer.
