Real Madrid have been very active in the transfer window this summer not just with arrivals but also with departures. The club has already sold Fran Garcia, parted ways with Dani Ceballos, and sold a number of academy stars bringing in over €130 million. And they may not be done yet, as Real Madrid are reportedly in talks to sell another player, one that may leave fans disappointed.
As being reported by theMadridZone on X, Fulham are in talks with Real Madrid about a potential move for striker Gonzalo Garcia as former Real Madrid coach Alvaro Arbeloa looks to reunite with his former player. Real Madrid still can't decide whether they want to keep they player or will allow him to leave, and Arbeloa looks to capitalize on that uncertainty and bring the stiker to London.

The report goes on to state that Real Madrid would be expected to retain the rights to the player in any deal and have a buy-back or sell-on clause as we've seen with other deals Real Madrid have done with their youngsters recently. Jose Mourinho is said to be a fan of Gonzalo but can't guarantee the 22-year-old a prominent role, with the final decision over the move being left fully up to the player.
From an outside perspective looking in, the prospect of a move away from the Bernabeu in search of regular minutes as a starter makes sense given it will be tough to get a starting spot in an attack with Vinicius Jr and Kylian Mbappe, however even then, Gonzalo still plays a very important role in the Real Madrid team as he is the only natural number nine in the squad something the team desperetly needs and can't afford to let go of.
Kylian Mbappe isn't a striker and reports suggest Jose Mourinho is going to test Endrick at right-wing leaving Gonzalo as the only natural striker but should he get sold Real would be without one of the most important roles in the team. Even keeping Gonzalo as a super sub would be beneficial for Real Madrid but as mentioned earlier the final decision will be made by the player.
Talks are still on going between the two clubs with Alvaro Arbeloa playing a key role in the talks for the Premier League side. The Spaniard is currently valued at around €30 million with a deal seeming closer to getting done than not. Gonzalo has shown on a number of occasions he has what it take to be a star at Real Madrid so hopefully if he does get sold he would return to the Bernabeu at some point in the future and pick up where he left off.
