Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Junior is one of the most beloved players at the club and a Ballon d'Or caliber player who was central to not one but two Champions League titles, stepping up his best performances in the clutch as arguably the best player of the knockout stages of the last five years with his game changing qualities on the ball.
But Vinicius only has one year left on his contract, and while Real Madrid are pushing for a new deal and Jose Mourinho and everyone else is stating their full intent of keeping the Brazilian superstar, Vini himself has said absolutely nothing and has not offiically put pen to paper. As hard as it is for Madridistas to admit, it is Vini who is giving the worries.
And the rumblings have not stopped either. With Real Madrid pursuing Michael Olise on the right wing and now Yan Diomande, who can play on the left and the right as well, Los Blancos are eyeing two potential nine figure transfers these next two summer transfer windows.
Real Madrid have a scary Vinicius scenario
The rumors around Vinicius Junor are difficult to quell. Although Manchester United and even Bayern Munich themselves have been mentioned, ESPN's James Olley and Rodra P report that not only are Arsenal interested in Vini and that the club's interest in Diomande does indeed impact the Brazilian gem's future, but that, further, Real sources within the buiding believe that the only destination Vini could go to in 2026 is Arsenal - not their Premier League rivals Man United.
So Arsenal are the team to worry about here, and them stealing away Vinicius Jr. would be an even bigger deal than when they signed Martin Odegaard from Zinedine Zidane in 2021. Because unlike Odegaard, Vinicius stayed and fought at Real Madrid and was central to two Champions League titles, becoming one of the world's top five players.
That is the caliber of player Real Madrid could be losing, and if Arsenal are the only team he could go to, then it is possible Vinicius may not be as coveted around European football or go for as much money as he would deserve to on the merits of his talent. Vinicius has faced some rough smear campaigns against him over the years, and he has to realize that he is valued in Madrid more than anywhere else. But North London is calling, and if Vini does not re-sign, Real could be forced into the unthinkable - and a sale on worse terms than they would like.
