Real Madrid have been in pursuit of Michael Olise for several weeks now, subtly planting the seeds in the mind of the French superstar that they want to bring the player to create a front three as good as the BBC was 10 years ago with Vinicius Junior, Kylian Mbappe, and Olise all starting together.
Although Olise is thinking about leaving Bayern Munich and there are rumblings that he has already told those around him he will go, nothing is official in the open yet. And Bayern have made it obvious that they do not want to sell Olise under any circumstances, so crazy fees of 200 to 250 million euros are being floated around now.
But Real Madrid are not only thinking about Olise. Now, thanks to Jose Mourinho, Real Madrid are in hot pursuit of another insanely gifted Bundesliga winger in 19 year old sensation Yan Diomande, who had a whale of a breakout season with RB Leipzig.
Real Madrid already made an offer
Real Madrid have even already submitted an official transfer offer to RB Leipzig for the player. Fabrizio Romano reports that already this week, the Royal Whites quietly offered the German club a 90 million euro proposal with an additional 10 million euros in bonuses. But Leipzig, per Romano, are going to "ask for more" than 100 million euros. Therefore, Real are still "in talks" to try and negotiate the final price for a player who already agreed to personal terms for PSG.
This is a big time hijack deal that Florentino Perez and Real Madrid are embarking on, but Fabrizio is making it clear to the Royal White fan base that it will not be easy to sign Diomande either. It may be easier than a Michael Olise deal with Bayern Munich, but 100 million euros is not enough for the player.
In truth, it has never been enough. RB Leipzig had already made it clear that the price point for Yan Diomande is well above 100 million euros when they started getting major interest from Liverpool and other Premier League clubs, as well as back to back Champions League winners PSG.
There is a reason why PSG want Diomande, and there is a reason why Real Madrid want him, too. But as Fab reports, this is not going to be an easy road for Real to go on either, and they are going to have to pay up and commit heavily to the Ivory Coast winger.
