Gonzalo Garcia came up with one of the greatest hat-tricks in Real Madrid's history as Xabi Alonso's side thrashed Real Betis 5-1 at the Bernabeu. The 21-year-old's three goals were collectively 'perfect', scoring with his right foot, left foot and head.
The first came in when he met Rodrygo's free-kick at the back post to head home an opener. His second was arguably the best of the lot when he chested down Federico Valverde's through ball, spun and hit a right-footed volley into the bottom corner.
Garcia was clearly growing in confidence, and he pulled off a cheeky rabona with his left foot to make history. He becomes the first Madrid player since Cristiano Ronaldo in 2018 to hit a perfect hat-trick.
But how does Garcia's rank in comparison to five other eye-catching hat-tricks that have been scored by past and present Los Blancos heroes?
5 - Kylian Mbappe vs Olympiakos (26 November 2025)

Madridistas are becoming used to seeing Kylian Mbappe break records, and he made history just over two months ago when he came up with a seven-minute hat-trick against Olympiacos. Xabi Alonso's men came from behind to beat the Greek side 4-3.
Mbappe scored all four goals, the first a superb equaliser, the second a fine header, the third a clever timed run and neat finish. This all came within seven minutes, making it the second quickest in Champions League history.
Furthermore, he registered his fifth hat-trick in Europe's elite club competition, a record that eclipses that of Filippo Inzaghi, who managed three. An astonishing record and hopefully the Frenchman continues to deliver similar displays.
4 - Ronaldo Nazario vs Manchester United (23 April 2003)

Every now and then a player conjures up a performance that even the opposition can only stand and applaud. That was Ronaldo Nazario on the night of 23rd April in 2003 when the Brazilian frontman showed why, for many, he's the greatest pure number nine in history.
Ronaldo Nazario's first came when he raced onto a long through ball and fired first time to beat Fabian Barthez at his near post. The second was a lot more simple, tapping home into an empty net after being played in by Roberto Carlos.
There was nothing easy about his third though as he let fly from 25 yards with a fierce effort that gave Barthez no chance. Not only was it a beautiful strike but an important one as the Champions League quarter-final tie ended 6-5 on aggregate.
3 - Karim Benzema vs Paris Saint-Germain (9 March 2022)

It looked for all the world as though Madrid were going to be sent packing from the Champions League at the hands of PSG in March 2022. The Parisians held a two-nil lead on aggregate by half-time of the second leg of the last 16 tie.
But cometh the hour, cometh Karim Benzema who led by example with one of the most iconic performances. The French striker made the most of a Gianluigi Donnarumma mistake to give Los Blancos hope.
Benzema came to the fore again with a shot that took a slight deflection off of Marquinhos. His colossal display struck fear into the Parisian defence and he bagged a hat-trick just shortly after the visitors took kick off with a first time finish that turned the tie on it's head and would eventually lead to Champions League glory.
2 - Alfredi Di Stefano and Ferenc Puskas vs Eintracht Frankfurt (18 May 1960)
There wasn't a chance these two were missing out, especially given their two hat-tricks were part of a match many regard as one of the greatest in football history. Los Merengues came from behind to win the European Cup final 7-3.
Ferenc Puskas was the first to bag a hat-trick (45+1' 56' pen, and 60') but Alfredo Di Stefano also found the back of the net three times (27', 30' and 73'). Puskas would go on to score a fourth in the 71st minute as two of the greatest goalscorers in Madrid's history proved their worth.
A record attendance of around 127,000 are estimated to have watched the iconic duo at wreak havoc against the Germans. It set the record for the most goals scored in a European Cup final.
1 - Cristiano Ronaldo vs Atletico Madrid (11 April 2012)

It became the norm for Cristiano Ronaldo to bag a hat-trick during his time at Madrid, doing so a club record 44 times. The pick of those has to be his three-goal haul in a 4-1 win over rivals Atletico Madrid which helped Los Merengues claim the La Liga title.
Madrid took control of the title race thanks to Ronaldo's goalscoring brilliance with a four point advantage over Barcelona reclaimed. He got the ball rolling with a jaw-dropping free-kick which left the goalkeeper rooted to his spot.
Perhaps even better was his second strike as his knuckleball attempt from just outside the box beat then-Atleti goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois. It was a phenomenal goal that had fans inside Vicente Calderon Stadium losing their minds.
Ronaldo's third came from the penalty spot, managing to find the bottom right-hand corner of which Courtois dived the right way. He made it look easy as he did throughout his career.
