When it comes to the development of youngsters at Real Madrid, it has been pretty hit or miss in recent times. Whether the youngsters are from the youth academy or brought in from elsewhere, we've seen their development get stunted at a club the size of Real Madrid at such a young age, with many youngsters struggling to break into the first team squad.
This has been an issue with the youngsters from the academy for a few years now. We've seen several extremely talented youngsters come through the Castilla system but fail to break into the first team, and end up getting loaned out to play their football elsewhere.
One youngster, however, who has managed to break into the first team squad is striker Gonzalo Garcia. The youngster burst onto the scene in the Club World Cup this summer, showing immense amounts of talent which has caught the eye of a number of other clubs around Europe.
Bundesliga side looking to add another Real Madrid youngster in January
As reported by Florian Plettenberg (Plettigoal on X) Bundesliga side Stuttgart want to sign Gonzalo Garcia in the January transfer window, with the striker being the dream signing of the German side. Stuttgart are said to be eyeing a permanent transfer, but Real would prefer a loan move for the 21-year-old.
Gonzalo recently extended his contract with Los Blancos until 2030, but could begin to look for regular starting minutes elsewhere, as he has shown he has what it takes to start for Real Madrid at his young age, but hasn't been given many opportunities yet this season.
The youngster took home the golden boot at the Club World Cup this summer, showing his lethality in front of goal and what he can bring to the team when given the chance.
Plettigoal states that Gonzalo meets all criteria Stuttgart are looking for in a striker but know that a deal would be difficult to agree and are looking at other options along with Gonzalo Garcia. Should the youngster join the German side ,he would be reuniting with his former Real Madrid Castilla teammate Chema Andres who has been thriving since joining the Bundesliga side in the summer.
Gonzalo is currently valued at around €25 million and is a gem of a player that would be a steal of a signing should he leave Real Madrid. Outside of Kylian Mbappe this season, Real Madrid's attack has been seriously lacking, and if they were to approve the sale of the youngster, the attack would struggle even more.
For the best interest of the club, they should reject any offer for the 21-year-old and keep him at the club as he has shown he has what it takes to be the future number nine for many years to come at Los Blancos.
