Real Madrid have struggled with injuries this season. One may argue that the schedule has been so tight, giving the players little break, or that Carlo Ancelotti is over-reliant on particular players despite having depth in the team, resulting in overburdening and subsequent injuries due to fatigue.

Not long ago, Real Madrid revealed the injury of two key players who were consistently providing for the squad. Ferland Mendy injured his muscles two weeks ago, while Dani Ceballos was sidelined at the end of February due to a serious injury.

Both the players were generating continuous results for the squad and their injuries came as big blow to the midfield and the defense. Carlo Ancelotti did make measures to cover the gaps right away, but the team hasn't been the same since then.

Ancelotti gives predicted return time for Mendy and Ceballos

During a news conference ahead to the first leg of the Copa Del Rey semi-final against Real Sociedad, the Italian manager was asked about his injury management. He praised Fran Garcia's achievements in the absence of Ferland Mendy. He also disclosed when the Mendy and Ceballos could be getting ready to make a comeback.

He said, "Mendy and Ceballos are trying to make it to the Arsenal match."

According to the current schedule, Dani Ceballos is not expected to return before the end of April, but it has been reported that he is preparing well and recovering well in order to join the squad as soon as possible. It would be a big deal if he could play against Arsenal.

Ferland Mendy, on the other hand, would be a wonderful addition to the defense whenever he returns. Fran Garcia is good, although it should be noted that he is porous. Mendy is certainly the stronger option at left-back, and his prompt return would definitely assist both the club and the manager.
