Como superstar Nico Paz has been one of the top five players in world football this season and has carried his underdog club to the bring of Champions League football next season as the center piece of legendary midfielder Cesc Fabregas's ambitious project on the picturesque lake where even more beautiful football is played.

Paz is 50 percent owned by Real Madrid, who can buy the sensational playmaker back for under 10 million euros this summer tranfer window - or next year for just a tiny bit more. With how poor Real Madrid have been in the middle of the park this season despite some big names, bringing Paz back is widely seen as a no brainer, though his fate rests entirely in the hands of the plans of the incoming new manager, Fabregas's former coach at Chelsea Jose Mourinho.

Real Madrid are not the only elite club tracking Nico Paz, though. The biggest team in Serie A, champions Inter Milan, want to add more quality to the midfield after getting torn apart and upset in the knockout stages of the Champions League this season by Bodo Glimt.

Nico Paz isn't going to Inter Milan

However, Cesc Fabregas has made it clear that there is no way Inter Milan are going to be able to get their hands on Paz. He said, via Madrid Xtra, “Nico is 50% a Como player. The only club that can say anything is Real Madrid. I know Zanetti doesn't work for Madrid or Como, so we have to show respect. One thing I know for sure: Nico Paz won't play for Inter. Either he'll return to Real Madrid or he'll play for Como next year.

Everything Fabregas is saying here is logical. Only Como and Real Madrid have the rights to Paz here, and Real Madrid hold all the cards since he is still their player; these 50 percent clauses are never actually 50 percent when Madrid are involved.

And why would Madrid, if they don't bring Paz back and think he could use another year before joining his midfield, send him out to Inter Milan instead? If he is not their player, they would rather have him staying at Como as their leader with continuity under Fabregas, allowing him to shine even more at the European level.

Inter Milan are a bigger club, but Paz would have a new system and less importance. And since Inter made the Champions League Final in two of the last four years, he would be more likely to hurt Real Madrid in Milano than in Como. Fabregas's words should put any lingering Madridistas who are afraid at ease.
