When looking at the Real Madrid squad, the club really has an embarrasment of riches at their disposal. The squad is littered with world class talent in the starting lineup and players on the bench who the caliber of player that would be a regular starter for other European teams every matchday.
While having a loaded squad is undoubtedly a good thing, it can also be a negative when it comes to managing minutes across the squad. One area this shows for Los Blancos is in the attack. They have an overload of attackers, which leads some players to see more minutes than others, and given the extremely talented youngsters in the frontline, this can be damaging to their careers at this young age.
As a result a number of other top European clubs have added some of these attackers to their transfer lists as we rapidly approach the summer transfer window, and one of these teams is one that is always signing loads of players.
Chelsea want to sign another Real Madrid youngster alongside Endrick
As reported by Topskills Sports, Chelsea are eyeing an ambitious move for Real Madrid's attacking duo Endrick and Gonzalo Garcia, while Real are eyeing a double swoop of Chelsea's Malo Gusto and Enzo Fernandez. Los Blancos also have eyes on Reece James, but he's been deemed 'untouchable' under any circumstances.
Endrick has been excelling during his loan spell at Lyon, and Gonzalo has been showing his class and goalscoring ability this season, so the young duo garnering interest from other top European clubs isn't much of a surprise. How much a potential deal would cost Chelsea remains unknown, but given the talent both are showing at such a young age and the potential ahead of them, it would easily exceed €100 million.
As for the players Real are interested in, Enzo makes sense. The club has been dying for a Toni Kroos replacement since his retirement two years ago, and the Argentine would be a perfect replacement in the midfield. As for Gusto, that move is a bit of a head scratcher. The club just brought in Trent Alexander-Arnold at right-back, and yes, he's dealt with injuries this season, but when fit, he's shown he's a massive game-changer and someone who can have a fantastic career at the Bernabeu.
When it comes to the sales of Endrick and Gonzalo, Florentino Perez should not even consider it under any circumstances. Real has been in desperate need of a natural number nine, and that's what the two youngsters are, so allowing them to leave would just add to the problem the club has been working on fixing over the last few years. If anyone is sold to Chelsea, it would be better if it were a player like Vinicius Junior, whose behavior and inconsistent form have been a problem this season, rather than two youngsters who solve problems rather than start them.
