Cristiano Ronaldo has just renewed his contract with Al Nassr until 2027, further solidifying his chances of playing the 2026 FIFA World Cup with Portugal.
For Al Nassr, Ronaldo is the most commercially rewarding figure to have, also sportingly. He is their best player and has significantly improved the team.
It goes without saying that Ronaldo is also their most experienced player and can guide how the team should improve further. He must be heavily involved with the management. And supposedly, he is.
According to Sky, the Portuguese Real Madrid legend has asked Al Nassr to sign Real Madrid’s Rodrygo this summer, and the Saudi Arabian club has obliged with an immediate pursuit.
Al Nassr have contacted Rodrygo’s entourage on a lucrative offer
Per the report, Cristiano Ronaldo has personally singled out Rodrygo as a target for the Saudi Pro League club, who have now offered an extremely attractive proposal to the Brazilian.
Rodrygo has reportedly been offered a “blank check” to convince him to join the SPL, and discussions between the club and his entourage regarding the offer have already taken place.
But for now, the winger has informed Al Nassr that his priorities lie elsewhere. First and foremost, it is still at Real Madrid, where he wants to stage a turnaround and regain the trust of the manager and the club.
If not, and if a move away from Madrid does materialize, he has clarified that his priority would be the Premier League, with Arsenal closely monitoring his situation.
However, it must be noted that Al Nassr’s offer is far too lucrative to be dismissed outright. Rodrygo has communicated his preferences but hasn’t completely ruled out the offer. The money is too substantial to ignore without consideration.
He has reiterated that his focus remains on the game, and he wants to succeed at the highest level possible. For that reason, he does not wish to move to Saudi Arabia just for the money, at least not yet.
As things stand, Rodrygo is falling out of place at Real Madrid and might be leaving soon. The question remains: where?
