Real Madrid stars always belong at the top of the Ballon d'Or podium, and it is telling that Los Blancos had a bad season when there are not multiple players in their XI who are in the top 10 of the running. With the 2026/27 season already under way, here are where the current Madrid superstars rank in terms of predicting the top 10 Ballon d'Or favorites for 2027.
10. Barcelona CM Pedri
9. PSG LW Khvicha Kvaratskhelia
8. PSG CF Ousmane Dembele
7. Real Madrid LW Vinicius Junior
Vinicius Junior is a better player than seventh overall in the world with how great he is on the ball and at both progressing play and create chances relentlessly out of pure nothingness, but he is going to get overshadowed on his own team, just as Jude Bellingham and Toni Kroos (and Dani Carvajal, too) were by him in that magical 2023/24 season.
Make no mistake, though, Vini is going to have a grand season under Jose Mourinho, and he is a better player than the PSG superstar duo. PSG look set for a letdown year with their dreams of three peating, as Lens cutting it close with them in Ligue 1 last season showed just how vulnerable they really are.
6. Bayern Munich RW Michael Olise
5. Manchester City ST Erling Haaland
4. Barcelona RW Lamine Yamal
3. Real Madrid CF Kylian Mbappe
Kylian Mbappe has learned the hard way that in order to win the Ballon d'Or, you have to actually win the Champions League and be part of a winning team, not just great as an individual. This season, Mbappe will be at his best in years under Mourinho, but with Harry Kane at the peak of his powers as the best all around striker in the planet, it still won't be enough for France's World Cup star to take home the honors - or even get into the top two.
Lamine Yamal and Erling Haaland are also real contenders, but they don't have the goal scoring numbers that Mbappe does lately.
2. Bayern Munich ST Harry Kane
1. Real Madrid AM Jude Bellingham
Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane are England's two most valuable players and maybe two of the most respected footballers in the world. And if Kane is the best all around striker on the planet, then Jude is the best all around player, and the World Cup proved that as valuable as Kane is, Jude is even more essential. With Real Madrid set to rebound this season, Bellingham is the odds on favorite to win the Ballon d'Or, and the Madridista faithful are raving about his start to the season as the Man of the Match in both wins, even in the one Kylian Mbappe registered a hat trick vs. Real Sociedad.
