Real Madrid fans are pumped to see what Endrick can do in the 2026/27 La Liga and Champions League seasons when he returns to the Santiago Bernabeu with a lot more clout, having been one of the best players in Ligue 1 in the second half of the campaign after being loaned to Lyon.
Xabi Alonso put Endrick in a dark place by leaving him to rot on the bench for no good reason, and the Brazilian international immediately made Real Madrid regret listening to Alonso by tearing the French top flight apart with brilliant instincts and chance creation to go with his finishing touch.
Endrick's stock is high going into the World Cup, too, and even though he is the second striker on the depth chart behind Brentford's Igor Thiago, who had a great scoring season in the Premier League, anyone can tell that he is the better option for the Selecao despite his youth.
Endrick is ready for the big time
After Thiago played a poor first half in a friendly against Egypt in Cleveland, wasting good chances and running around like a high schooler, Endrick looked like a 30 year old superstar up top. He scored a brilliant left footed goal, finishing from a tough position with flawless accuracy, and he created chances for himself and others throughout the game with smart passing and even more intelligent positioning.
But not only did Endrick send a clear message to Carlo Ancelotti that he is ready to be the starting striker for Brazil this World Cup, he also sent a message to incoming Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho that he is ready to push Kylian Mbappe for minutes, too.
Real Madrid need a No. 9 who can work hard, bring others into the game, create chances, and finish off the ones he gets. And Endrick, despite his youth, is already a much better player off the ball with how he positions himself in and around the box than Mbappe, who has really begun to frustrate Real Madrid fans with his mistakes.
Madridistas want to see more opportunities for Endrick, not only at the World Cup for Brazil but also in all competitions, not just the Copa del Rey, for Real Madrid in 2026/27. Endrick is ready for the big time, and everyone in his home country can see it. And so can everyone in France. Now it is time for those at Real Madrid to wise up, starting with Mourinho's fresh perspective.
