Arsenal midfielder Mikel Merino, who has become a really important player for the team ever since he started playing further up top, has named Rodrygo as one of his favorite players. He was asked about a Real Madrid player he would like to play with, and is the most fun to watch.
He said: "It's hard to pick one, but I'd probably say Rodrygo. I'm not saying he's underrated, but he's a player I really like: fast, physical, technical, he has great one-on-one skills, he's good in space. Very complete."
It is not the first time a player of Merino's quality - or even better - has complimented Rodrygo. Real Madrid fans sometimes take him for granted, but every single player knows just how good the Brazilian player is.
If he was able to play as a left-winger, there is an argument to be made about Rodrygo being even better than he is. As good as he has been on the right, it feels like the position sometimes limits him.
Even then, he is able to do a lot of damage for Los Blancos, and hopefully Arsenal are his next target.
Rodrygo will go up against Myles Lewis-Skelly on Tuesday, and although the youngster has been brilliant for Arsenal, facing a player like Rodrygo would be a huge challenge even for him.
