Even Donald Trump carved up Thomas Tuchel for brutal Jude Bellingham decision

England blew their World Cup semifinal against Argentina in embarrassing fashion, losing 2-1 after Thomas Tuchel screwed his team over with an incredibly cowardly set up, shifting into a 5-4-1 and giving Lionel Messi and Co. all the time and space in the world to methodically carve them up and punch their ticket to a second straight World Cup Final.

The England fans were incensed with how Tuchel coached the game, particularly the way he took the ball out of the feet of his two superstar players who had dragged them to the semifinal in Real Madrid center midfielder Jude Bellingham and Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane (the Tottenham Hotspur legend).

Even United States president Donald Trump showed off more ball knowledge than the German coach, poking fun at his terrible decision in the World Cup semifinal and seemingly giving Bellingham quite the shoutout.

Jude Bellingham deserved better from Tommy T

Trump said, via Madrid Xtra, “Maybe England made a mistake when they took the lead but then turned their best player into a defender, but what do I know about soccer.”

Real Madrid fans probably did not have Trump criticizing Tuchel and big upping Bellingham on their bingo cards, but that is exactly what happened here. Because Tuchel did take Jude and forced him to sit and defend, and he was their best player of the tournament with back to back braces against Mexico and Norway; England would have easily lost those two games without Jude.

If even Trump, who admits himself that he does not follow the sport as closely as Thomas Tuchel theoretically should be, can point this out, then Tuchel really has no leg to stand on when he tells the press that they are only criticizing him after the fact and that his ideas were great.

His ideas stunk, and it is obvious that the Bayern Munich flop is not fit to manage the England national team. Real Madrid fans are going to have to get used to Tuchel wasting generational performances from Jude Bellingham while subtly trying to throw him under the bus, because that is exactly what happened here at the World Cup again.

Maybe Donald Trump should sign on as the next England manager to work with Harry Kane and Jude. He seems to know who the best players on the team are and seems to have a better relationship with them than Tuchel does. Real Madrid fans can only hope England get to their senses soon and don't waste Jude.
