Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has been smitten with signing Bayern Munich superstar right winger Michael Olise for months, but he was unable to secure the deal this summer. That could still change with dramatic circumstances, but while every source in the media is stating that Olise has made it clear he is ready to move to Madrid, Bayern are not ready to let him go and have no reason to with the player being under contract for a few more years.
Olise is not the type of person to push his way out, it seems, and while that could change or even Bayern could be swayed, it appears Real Madrid are not going to risk things and push the envelope here while they pursue another Bundesliga club's big gem on the wings in Yan Diomande of RB Leipzig.
Real Madrid are playing it smart
Per a report from Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid informed Bayern Munich "days ago" that, as they showed with their statement, they would not want to break their relationship and bond between clus over an Olise transfer. Real Madrid and Florentino Perez would still love to sign the player either this summer or in the future, but they are not going to do it without Bayern clearly opening the door for them. And since they cannot do it this summer, Real Madrid will back off and put 100 percent of their focus on Yan Diomande.
Mayeb it is sad that Real Madrid cannot sign Michael Olise and must back off this year, but it is the best decision that they have to make. Because it is important for Real to maintain a good relationship with Bayern Munich, and they do not want to come across the wrong way and miss out on future great players from one of the top clubs in the world.
