Real Madrid still want to keep Garcia around for Mourinho, but with how strongly Fulham and their new manager Alvaro Arbeloa, who loved working with Garcia last season as Madrid's head coach, are going after the academy striker, Real are now more open to selling in order to accommodate the new or returning faces in the attack like Yan Diomande and Endrick.

According to a new report from Fabrizio Romano, Fulham will open talks this week with Real Madrid in order to sign Gonzalo Garcia, who has become their No. 1 priority transfer target - even out of all the Madrid youngsters Arbeloa is interested in signing from the Royal Whites. Romano says that Real Madrid are going to demand a huge fee from Fulham in order to part ways with the 22 year old marksman, and it is not going to be as low as 30 million euros. Plus, Real Madrid still want to keep future control over Garcia.
That is important, as Real do not want Garcia to go to the Premier League, thrive under Alvaro Arbeloa, and then never come back when he could be a solution and the future top star of the Spanish national team in the 9 position.
Garcia probably needs more minutes away from Madrid for his development, but a deal similar to the one Nico Paz is getting with Como where he goes for a big fee but can come back later is ideal. Real and Jose Mourinho do not want to lose this gem.
