Real Madrid are not planning on a revolution to revamp their squad this coming summer transfer window, and, in all honesty, that's probably for the best, because the purported revolutions and big changes have rarely worked out for Real. Often, it is the smart scouting and little tweaks that bring out the best in the squad.

One small area Real Madrid can get better in is upgrading their midfield, and a deep lying controller who can make plays and solidify this team is necessary, especially since Real Madrid have not even come 1 percent of the way to replacing Luka Modric and Toni Kroos in the last two summer transfer windows.

But before bringing someone in, some players could be let go. Fabrizio Romano reports news on experienced box to box center midfielder Dani Ceballos that will surprise nobody, stating that the Spanish international is expected to leave this summer window. Fab confirms that three clubs, including Ajax, are interested in the former Real Betis man, and teams are already contacting Real Madrid about proposals.

Tchouameni is staying in Madrid

Meanwhile, Romano reported the opposite is the case for Aurelien Tchouameni. He states that while there is transfer interest in the French defensive midfielder, including confirming interest from Manchester United and several other big clubs, Real Madrid are not at all open to selling Tchou. Fabrizio Romano further confirms that Tchouameni is very happy in the Spanish capital.

Eduardo Camavinga could be one more notable name in the middle of the park who leaves Real Madrid this summer transfer window along with Ceballos, but obviously Dani Ceballos is the first name on the list to leave the club. Real are trying to bring back Nico Paz, and Chema Andres of Stuttgart is someone who could make his way back to the first team as a No. 6 in 2026 or, more likely, in 2027.

As for Aurelien Tchouameni, Real Madrid would do well to keep him and bring in someone new to compete with him and Thiago Pitarch at the base of the midfield, rather than selling him off and starting from scratch. Tchou has shown a high level in some games under Alvaro Arbeloa this season, though, overall, he has still clearly yet hit that true superstar level that Real Madrid were hoping for when they signed him for big money in 2022 as a replacement for Manchester United's Casemiro following their Champions League triumph.
