Legendary manager Jose Mourinho has always been a beloved figure around the Real Madrid fan base for pulling Los Blancos out of the doldrums and potential further embarrassment and bringing a team that had no trophies in two seasons, just like now, to absolute lions who broke the points and goals scored record in La Liga at a time when Barcelona had their greatest squad of all time with a laundry list of legends.
Mourinho got Real Madrid to believe in themselves as THE pinnacle of football again, and president Florentino Perez recently publicly credited Mou for raising the entire competitive level of the organization again to the point where he was the source of the six Champions Leagues that would follow after - and he himself came agonizingly close to winning it, too.
Well, Mourinho will be back to Los Blancos again, and in his latest transfer update on his YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano is confirming that soon after the Chelsea "Here We Go" for former Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso, whom Jose Mourinho actually coached in the 2010s, the Special One will be confirmed as the Real Madrid manager.
Real Madrid will back their Chosen Special One
But Real Madrid fans already knew that. Mourinho is the one and only candidate for Madrid at this point, and with all the turmoil in the dressing room, especially after Kylian Mbappe's insubordinate post game act against Real Oviedo, Mou's destiny to return has never been more obvious.
The real nugget of information is Romano saying that Real Madrid will back Mourinho fully in the transfer market. Mourinho had reportedly demanded to be able to ask for positions he needs to win, but it looks like Romano says Real Madrid are prepared to give Mourinho more reign and will work together on getting his ideas done with transfers.
That shows you both how much Florentino Perez admires and respects Mourinho, and it also shows you just how how bad of a state Real Madrid are in as an organization. It's not just the fact that they have not won any titles again, but it is also the poor signings they have made over the years and lack of real organizational leadership that has cost them. Even before when they were winning under Carlo Ancelotti, they had the same issues, but Don Carlo was so darn good - and Zinedine Zidane, too - that they were still gathering trophies because of them. Mourinho is getting the backing they deserved before him, and he will run with it.
