Real Madrid are in shambles. Pretending otherwise would be disengenuous, and it has all finally exploded in a way that is impossible for even president Florentino Perez to ignore as two of the most respected players in the locker room escalated their fight from the previous day by coming to literal blows in the dressing room.

Aurelien Tchouameni will look like the aggressor and the evil one for knocking out Fede Valverde, but the proliferation of miscreants, toddlers, and dissenters within the Real Madrid locker room extends beyond one punch that seems to be escalated by a player wearing the captain's armband who has let his newfound influence get to his head (just ask Xabi Alonso).

Valverde, Kylian Mbappe, Dani Carvajal, Antonio Rudiger, and many other star players at Real Madrid have disgraced themselves this season, and the situation has become untenable. Real Madrid fans have been begging president Florentino Perez to open his eyes and do something about what has happened behind the scenes, as these players are unmanageble, with Alvaro Arbeloa now suffering the same malaise that Xabi Alonso did despite a far more relaxed approach.

Real Madrid know they have a problem

On his YouTube channel, veteran transfer insider Fabrizio Romano chimed in on all the drama surrounding Real Madrid, and he relayed something important from the Valdebebas that Madridistas have been waiting to hear acknowledged for months at this point. Per Romano, the message at Real Madrid is that the team can no longer go on like this.

It is a simple statement, and whlie it is not yet actionable, it would seem to indicate that Perez and Real Madrid are fed up and are finally going to make the drastic changes to set this locker room straight and remove some of the power getting to the heads of players like Mbappe, Alvaro Carreras and even players everyone had previously loved and looked to as leaders like Fede Valverde and Dani Carvajal.

Real Madrid are looking hard at a reunion with Jose Mourinho to bring some much neeed steel to the locker room, but many fans feel like that isn't enough. Removing obvious underperformers and sour locker room grapes like Dani Ceballos is obvious enough, but Real Madrid fans also want to see real consequences for star players who have caused real problems this season, including the golden children of Florentino Perez, most prominently Kylian Mbappe.

Let's see if Perez and the Madrid board actually do something about all this, but hearing Fab report that the club know they have reached a point of no return seems to indicate the first step is already quietly taking place: the step of acknowledgment.
