Man of the Match throughout the group stages while scoring goals from out of nowhere, Vini Jr. did not get on the score sheet for the Selecao in their tragic 2-1 loss to a very game Norway, but he was still incredible with six dribbles completed and two chances created, both being gilt edged chances that really should have been turned in by his teammates.
With the World Cup over, Vincius Jr. now heads back to Real Madrid with the weight of expectations still on his shoulders. Real Madrid have not won any trophies in the last two seasons, and while Vini is a two time Champions League winner and crucial in both triumphs, questions have still been asked of him - and he will have a point to prove to Jose Mourinho and the world in 2026/27 again.

Plus, Vinicius Jr. is still waiting for a new contract from Real Madrid with just one year left on his deal, and the true Madridistas are frustrated that Florentino Perez and the club have not given the player a legitimate offer when he is the soul of the team and clearly wants to stay.
Thankfully, Fabrizio Romano is reporting, that Real Madrid are preparing to change that. Fab says that Madrid want to solve the Vinicius Junior situation one way or another and are focused fully on signing the player to a new contract. A new round of talks between Real Madrid and Vini's agents are scheduled to take place soon.
All Madridistas want to see is a Comunicado Oficial. Regardless of what people say or how they compare his World Cup to Jude Bellingham's or Kylian Mbappe's, Real Madrid had to have seen enough to be impressed with how VIni Jr. did.
Because unlike Jude who has Elliot Anderson working hard next to him and Harry Kane taking responsibility and then Mbappe who has cracks Michael Olise, Ousmane Dembele, Desire Doue, and still more by his side, Vini Jr. had no help. His best attacking partner was Matheus Cunha, and Brazil's best midfielder was Bruno Guimaraes - neither of whom were any better than mediocre. It's time to get this contract done, because Vini Jr. is the talisman Real Madrid need forever.
