Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Junior, and Kylian Mbappe are global superstars for Real Madrid who can score goals and do just about everything that needs to be done offensively, but if you were to ask Madridistas who their most important player is and who is the most difficult to replace, then the answer would be Thibaut Courtois.

After being deemed a flop by fans after a difficult first season at the Santiago Bernabeu in replacing three peat Champions League goalkeeper Keylor Navas, a pivotal half time illness against his home country's best team, Club Brugge, galvanized a turn around like never seen before at the White House.

Courtois has since established himself as the best ever goalkeeper in Real Madrid history, and he routinely spares the club's blushes in big games, especially on the counterattack. The hero of two Champions League Finals, Courtois is still going strong at the age of 34.

Courtois is about to get his

Fabrizio Romano has been reporting optimism that Vinicius Junior will soon join French midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni as Real Madrid stars with new contracts, but he also said that there would be one more big star on Madrid set to earn an extension.

Now, Fab has revealed the name, confirming the reports from the Spanish media that Thibaut Courtois is indeed the next big name to receive his rightful reward from the Royal White club with his contract set to expire at the end of the 2026/27 season.

When Romano first said that there would be a third star set to get an extension from Real, fans pretty much immediately jumped on Courtois. Though Real Madrid tend to only do year to year extensions closer to the expiry, Courtois is so important and still so good that waiting until the six month mark and risking a free transfer - as unlikely as that scenario would be - would be unconsciable.

Courtois is world class and the best goalkeeper on this planet, and though there are other great keepers out there like Premier League duo Alisson Becker and David Raya, there is simply nobody who can hold a candle to Tibo, who even turned his greatness weakness on the ball into a massive strength for the Merengues.

Real Madrid fans will be curious to see what kind of extension the club gives Courtois due to his age, but there is no doubt that Madridistas already thought Courtois would be in line for a well deserved extension.
