According to Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid icon Luka Modric intends to stay with the club for another year. Under the present deal, the player will be without a club by the end of June 2025. However, the player want to return for another season and continue to contribute to the squad in his current capacity.
According to the journalist, the Croatians' first preference is always Real Madrid. The footballer does not appear to be considering retirement and wants to sign a new agreement until June 2026.
While Luka Modric has not played all of Real Madrid's games this season, his contributions to the squad have not gone ignored. Despite being 39 years old, the midfielder remains one of the team's best players, leading by example. He offers a level of calm and serenity to the midfield that the regular roster lacks, and there does not appear to be a successor in the market.
