Real Madrid have had a bunch of incredible players in the past. By incredible, I really, really mean they were not to be trifled with.

Some of the best players in some of the best Real Madrid teams were obviously going to do well at other places too. Some have failed to do so, but there are some hidden ballers who have played at a very high level.

One of those players is Isco, who left the club in 2022. He had a tumultous few years after, but he has finally found his home at Real Betis, where he just took the team to the Europa League final a month ago.

Isco's final objective makes complete sense

Isco has just revealed his final objective until retirement in a recent interview. He was asked about what that is for him, whether it is winning a trophy, or being happy at a team he feels comfortable in, or something completely different.

It was different, but it makes perfect sense for the kind of player he is.

Isco said: "I want to leave football before football leaves me."

Quoting former Liverpool man Jamie Carraghar there a bit, Isco.

All jokes aside, he has a point. Isco has seen the lowest of all lows where his own club terminated his contract, with the former sporting director of Sevilla publicly embarrassing him.

Then, the whole Union Berlin situation happened, where the club changed half of his contract on the last day that stopped the signing from happening.

If a player has gone through all that, it must have hit him a lot mentally, as well. Once that happens, and you find a club that actually wants you, you just want to play your football until you are able to.

That is what Isco is doing. Isco was always an elegant player, and he would want to retire the elegant way, as well, whether that is at Betis or somewhere else.
