Why France are furious with Real Madrid’s treatment of Kylian Mbappe

The France national team are not pleased with Real Madrid, following their treatment of star player Kylian Mbappe. Here's why.

Kylian Mbappe suffered an unfortunate injury in the opening stage of his debut season. However, despite the concern, he was back in Real Madrid action before the anticipated return date.

Against Villarreal in the most recent La Liga fixture, Kylian Mbappe was a surprise inclusion in the starting lineup. This came days after he came off the bench against Lille.

In midweek, Kylian Mbappe's cameo can be excused. After all, it was a monumental night for the Mbappe family, as the two brothers were supposed to face each other. Ultimately, Ethan Mbappe was missing for Lille, but Real Madrid extended a favour by including Kylian Mbappe in the match.

According to L'Equipe, the France national team were surprised to see Kylian Mbappe involved in the Real Madrid lineup last weekend. As far as they were aware, he was not ready to return from injury.

This explains why Kylian Mbappe is not in the France squad for the October international break. Simply put, France did not estimate he would be ready to play at this capacity.

In his own words, Didier Deschamps said: "I had an exchange with Kylian [Mbappe]. He has a problem which is not serious. I am not going to take risks, which is why he is not in the squad."

So, it is no surprise that, according to Mirror, France are furious with Real Madrid. In fact, they claim that Didier Deschamps himself is unhappy with Real Madrid, for including Kylian Mbappe in two recent matches, despite his injury recovery.

The truth is that only Kylian Mbappe knows if he is ready to play a match. Therefore, it is likely that Carlo Ancelotti was going by what he was told.

Real Madrid are in no position to force their attackers back to action too early, especially considering how star-studded their attack is.

It is within Real Madrid's best interest to keep up their great relationship with the national teams of their players. Most notably, they are actively rekindling their relationship with the Spain national team. The likes of France and Brazil are also closely related to Real Madrid.

Long story short, this is likely a miscommunication between Real Madrid and the France national team. Hopefully, it is rectified and does not happen again in the future.
