According to a report from Fabrice Hawkins of RMC Sport, via the Madrid Zone, Bayern and Olise are going to hold talks after the World Cup, and that will be the moment of truth for Real Madrid. Because if Olise tells Bayern at this time that he is having thoughts of leaving the Bavarian giants for the Spanish capital, then the Royal Whites will be prepared to pounce. Hawkins says that Florentino Perez loves him, and he adds that if Real Madrid were to really put their money where their mouth is and offer 200 million euros or more, they would push Bayern Munich into make a tough decision regardless of what Bayern say in public about Olise being unsellable.
Real Madrid have more money than they let on, as Florentino Perez is very stingy on the transfer market for a reason. Everyone knows he is always setting aside that little bit of extra cash in case a Galactico on the level of the Ballon d'Or like Michael Olise were to become available.
Fabrice Hawkins cautions that while people in the French national team camp have been joking with Olise about the Real Madrid transfer rumors, it is not true that people are overtly recruiting him to the Madrid side.
But Kylian Mbappe, Aurelien Tchouameni, and now Ibrahima Konate do not need to be aggressive in their recruitment. Especially for Mbappe, the best recruitment is letting their play on the pitch do the talking. Real Madrid fans have suspected for a while that things will come to a head for Olise after the World Cup and that Florentino is serious; there is quiet confidence from the Madridistas that Real can strike and win with a 200 million euro offer.
