Michael Olise is starting to become a reality for Real Madrid this summer transfer window, as the seeds Florentino Perez planted all the way back in the swing when the French superstar eviscerated his Royal Whites in the Champions League quarterfinals may already be bearing fruit as the 2026 World Cup wraps up.
Although France did not reach the Final to make it three straight appearances, Olise became an even bigger name internationally with a strong World Cup alongside reigning Ballon d'Or winner Ousmane Dembele and record breaking World Cup goal scorer Kylian Mbappe in the Blues attack.
The French media has already stated that Mbappe's and Aurelien Tchouameni's recruitment efforts have been successful and that Olise is telling people that he wants to leave Bayern Munich for Real Madrid this summer transfer window.
Michael Olise is about to say the magic words
And now, the German media is finally admitting the same. Per a new report from BILD, via the Madrid Zone, Michael Olise has told his French national teammates that he wants to join Real Madrid.
That has only added gas to the already burning fire, and Florentino Perez has a clear opening to make his ambitious bid for the best left footed attacker Real Madrid will have since Gareth Bale abruptly declined in 2018. Olise is the creator and all around winger with a cultured left foot that Perez has been craving as the missing piece to the world's best front three alongside Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior.
Real Madrid fans are secretly worried that a 200 to 250 million euro transfer bid for Olise will mean that Vinicius, who still has not signed a contract extension with just one year left on his deal, may be sacrificed for Mbappe's new friend, but Perez has always backed Vinicius. So those fears are not being validated as of yet.
It seems like Madridistas are just as psyched about the possibility of Olise joining. It will still be difficult to sign the French right winger this summer, because Bayern Munich are, at least so far, expressing a unanimous decision that they do not want to sell Olise at any price - or at least only for a price that is extreme.
But if Olise is indeed so adamant on going to Madrid that even the German media cannot hide it at Bayern's behest, then all he needs to do is say the magic words to the Reds and Real Madrid can start to bid away.
