Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has been driving hard after Bayern Munich superstar right winger Micahel Olise, though he is trying his best to deny this desire publicly so as to avoid angering another giant club with whom he does have a good relationship with.
But it is impossible to ignore how well Olise and Kylian Mbappe, Real Madrid's current striker, are gelling together with the French national team. Olise and Mbappe absolutely dominated the Swedish national team in the World Cup Round of 32, and that has been the story of the entire tournament.
The tandem of Mbappe and Olise has been firing on all cylinders with Olise looking to set Mbappe up in on goal early and often, and the chemistry these two French forwards have is leading Madridistas to dream of a reunion at the club level.
Michael Olise dreams of Real Madrid
According to a report from BILD, via the Madrid Zone, the topic of French players recruiting Michael Olise to Real Madrid is all over the national team this summer at the World Cup. And Olise is seriously considering his future at Bayern Munich. He has yet to commit to the club, which worries the Bavarians, and he is attracted to Real Madrid, in particular, as a place where he can consistently compete and win Champions League titles and become an even better player.
If Robert Lewandowski was always swayed by the prospect of joining Real Madrid and eventually chose Barcelona over Bayern Munich, then Bayern fans cannot be too surprisd that Olise has big dreams of Madrid, especially getting to play alongside Kylian Mbappe at the World Cup.
Bayern knocked Real Madrid out of the Champions League this season, but that was before Real Madrid signed Jose Mourinho and a host of world class defenders. And it was a close tie. If Olise were to flip from the Bavarian giants to the men in Madrid, then that would surely tip the balance of power back to the club that won the 2023/24 Champions League title after knocking Bayern out in the semifinals.
Real Madrid fans are not going to get their hopes up for Olise too soon, because he is untouchable to Bayern and carries a price tag of the record breaking variety - Real Madrid may have to spend more than the 222 million euros that PSG paid to Barcelona for Neymar nine years ago.
But if there is any sort of a chance Real Madrid can land Olise, they would 100 percent take it. That is not up for debate.
