Real Madrid are a club that typically likes to have a stockpile on hand that they can grow and develop over the years into great players who can lead the club to future success for years to come. This has been the strategy of Real Madrid for years now and has given us some of the most popular players in the squad like Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo.
However, sometimes this strategy can be the downfall of a young player's career. Many times, young players get signed by the club but see limited game time, spending the majority of their time at Real Madrid on the bench.
This seems to be the exact case with two of Real Madrid's most talented young players, Arda Guler and Endrick. Arda Guler arrived at the club last summer, while Endrick joined this summer. With both players only 20 and 18 respectively, many expected the players to feature prominently in the team, however, that has been far from the case this season.
The duo have only played a total of 1125 minutes this season with most of that game time coming in the closing minutes of matches and the early rounds of the Copa del Rey. Carlo Ancelotti trusts his more experienced players like Vinicius Jr and Kylian Mbappe ahead of the youngsters hence why they struggle for regular minutes in a loaded attack.
Real Madrid can solve their Arda Guler and Endrick problem by loaning them out
Given the ages of both the attackers spending the majority of their time on the bench could impact their development greatly and send the rest of their careers on a downward spiral. If Real Madrid want Guler and Endrick to become key players for the club's future, potential loan moves for the players should be considered.
Both players have shown they have loads of skill in their repertoire but getting lost in the shuffle of the attack limits their opportunities to show their skills and a loan move would allow both players to thrive. Real Madrid could use the same philosophy they used with Brahim Diaz a number of years ago. He spent two seasons on loan at AC Milan and returned to Los Blancos in the summer of 2023 as a completely different player who has become an unsung hero in the team.
Mid-table sides in La Liga or teams in the Bundesliga could serve as great landing destinations for either player where they could develop and return after a few seasons as completely new players. The only downside of any potential loan moves would be depth. If Real Madrid suffer any major injuries in the attack Guler and Endrick could come in handy in that situation, but would keeping them be worth harming their future development?
