Real Madrid are planning more incomings this summer transfer window after already bringing in Ibrahima Konate, Denzel Dumfries, and Marc Cucurella, as another center back and at least one world class center midfielder are in line to help Jose Mourinho rebuild Madrid back into a title winning team after two seasons without a trophy.

But there will have to be big sales, too, especially if Real Madrid want to add two midfielders or even add a Galactic attacker into the mix. Many assumed that young prospect Franco Mastantuono would be loaned out after a difficult debut season at the Santiago Bernabeu with inconsistency and attitude problems whispered about in the background.

However, Mourinho has changed the narrative and is not only backing to keep Mastantuono in the squad, but he seems to be just as high on the Argentinian international's potential as the manager who signed him, his former player Xabi Alonso.

Jose Mourinho is a big believer

According to a report from Mario Cortegana of The Athletic, Jose Mourinho thinks he can help Franco Mastantuono explode into a huge star. It is the most optimstic report we have heard on Mourinho's views of the teenage playmaker, who had a difficult season and struggled markedly on the right wing but was so promsiing that Alonso started him from Day One as a signing out of River Plate.

Mastantuono has the quickness, technical tools, and quality to become world class, and if Mourinho is backing him, Real Madrid are not going to disagree or stand in his way. Chief scout Juni Calafat had him earmarked very early on as a special prospect on the same plane as Endrick or VInicius Junior, and Florentino Perez tends to not give up on those kinds of players so easily.

How Real Madrid fit Mastantuono into the first team remains to be seen, as Arda Guler is the clear favorite for the No. 10 role with Jude Bellingham and Brahim Diaz as other attacking midfield options. The right wing is wide open, though that may change if Real can somehow convince Michael Olise to leave Bayern Munich this summer transfer window.

But if anyone can find a way to turn Franco Mastantuono from a spoiled child into a mighty lion and then also tactically ascertain his best position at Real Madrid, then it is Mourinho. And if Mourinho believes in a young player, he believes in them one thousand percent. It's time to play the alarm bells around Mastantuono.
