There have been a lot of narratives written about how Kylian Mbappe gets along with the other superstars at Real Madrid, and one of the greatest pieces of fiction that the immature children of social media have begun to believe in is that Jude Bellingham and Mbappe are mortal enemies who can coexist. Depending on which side these folks are on, they either believe that Jude or Kylian is the ultimate villain at Real Madrid.

it has taken Jose Mourinho precisely one week to prove that none of this is at all true. His biggest task upon being hired by president Florentino Perez was to get the superstars of the club to be friends again, and so far, they are all firing on all cylinders after putting up four goals on Real Sociedad and now on Malaga, completing a clean sheet for an even better result this weekend.

And once more, Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe were at the goals. These two phenomenal players were at their absolute best, dominating the field as the two best players on the pitch. And it looks like Mourinho has cracked the code on how to get arguably the two best footballers on the planet to actually shine together.

Jose Mourinho is unleashing Real Madrid's best duo

Mourinho has fully embraced the philosophy that Real Madrid are at their best when Jude plays in the position where he can impact the games the most, which is as a modern No. 10 who crashes the box, presses, and looks to score goals rather than be a stagnant playmaker, which is what most 10s do and why they have died off in a more physical and tactically advanced game with less space in the opposing penalty area.

Meanwhile, having Bellingham occupying the space behind the striker and coming up to score goals has afforded Mbappe with a lot more freedom, as the Frenchman no longer has to worry about the previous criticisms of him not staying in the box enough. Now, with Jude available to come in and score, Mbappe is even encouraged to spread around the front three, which is precisely what has led to his best games in a French national team jersey.

Together, Bellingham and Mbappe are proving to be an unstoppable duo, helping each other both in terms of creating chances and, most importantly, in terms of generating space and opportunities. And Real Madrid fans have to go back and thank Jose Mourinho for all of this.
