Real Madrid still have not signed VInicius Junior to a new contract extension, and it is unfathomable that one of the best players in the world could go without a new deal for this long when he is so beloved by the club and the fans and has been central to two Champions League titles, it feels like something else is at play in the background that Real are leaving secret.

Vinicius is someone Jose Mourinho is very excited to work with, and he gave the Brazilian international kind words of support after a tough ending to the World Cup despite the player's own best efforts.

And yet, Vini's future is totally up in the air, as Real Madrid are not only showing great interest in Bayern Munich's Michael Olise, but they are now going even harder after a signing that would be just as big in RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande, who can play on both the right and left wing as a right footer.

Mourinho is not wavering on Vinicius

That being said, according to a report from the Daily Telegraph in the United Kingdom, via the Madrid Zone, Jose Mourinho has made his feelings on Vinicius Junior abundantly clear. Mourinho has reportedly told Madrid specifically not to sell Vinicius to Arsenal or anyone else and that he wants to keep the Brazilian superstar.

Mourinho's stance on the Real Madrid situation since walking through the doors as their new manager again has been unmistakable; he wants all the Galacticos to stay in Madrid and believes he is THE one to get them all to be at their very best again. And if anything, Mourinho has also made it known to Madrid that he wants to add more Galacticos, which is why he has been demanding the big signings this summer like Marc Cucurella and Bernardo Silva.

Yan Diomande is a specific request of Mourinho's, too, and his most expensive one yet. And if he is requesting Diomande but still badly wants to keep Vinicius Junior and not sell to back to back Champions League semifinalists Arsenal, then Real Madrid would be beyond insane to not listen to him and to even entertain a Vinicius sale. Real Madrid need to instead get on the extension tour again and seriously hammer out a new contract for one of their best players. Vinicius is valued highly by Jose, and he is not going away or diminishing in value.
