Real Madrid has had a very busy summer when it comes to both arrivals and departures. The club has been completely reshaping the squad for Jose Mourinho and there are still a handful of players who's futures at the club remain up in the air. Despite the arrivals of Bernardo Silva and Yan Diomande, the manager believes Brahim fits perfectly into his plans with his versatility and willingness to make sacrifices for the team which Mourinho considers very important.

Brahim has not only been one of the more under the radar players at Real Madrid since returning to the club in the summer of 2023 he's also been one of the most loyal players. Despite falling down the pecking order behind players like Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Jr, and now potentially Yan Diomande, the Moroccan hasn't complained once about his role and is one of the few attacking players actually willing to do the dirty work.
The 27-year-old is pretty much the only attacker that will track back and do the defensive work that Mbappe and Vinicius don't do and that is a more important attribute that when he pops up with the rare goal and assist. The team needs attackers willing to defend which is rare in today's game and Mourinho knows this, hence why he is so strong in his stance to keep the attacker this season.
Brahim can play in the ten role, as well as on either wing showing his wide versatility and is okay sacrificing his goals and assists to help the team defensively which is exactly what Mourinho looks for in his players, which players into Brahim's favor to stay at the club. He also had an underrated World Cup campaign grabbing four assists in six games, a solid return off the back of a disappointing club season in 25/26.
The Moroccan has been linked with an exit in the past with Juventus holding a string interest in bringing him back to Serie A, but it seems he won't be going anywhere anytime soon. He recently renewed his contract until 2030 and has lots of trust from the club and the manager, with any offers set to be rejected. While he may not produce the goals and assists like Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr, Brahim is a player every team needs to win the big trophies every year.
