Real Madrid superstar center midfielder Jude Bellingham is having a World Cup for the ages, and he is now among the leaders on the scoring charts within his own right, pulling just one behind the now eliminated Norwegian superstar Erling Haaland after back to back clutch braces.

England survived another fiery upset bid, defeating Norway 2-1 in the quarterfinals, coming from behind by virtue of Jude's two goals. They were both trademarks of his, with Jude making a great dribble into the box and finishing with a classy left foot for the first, and then he poached the second with killer movement off the ball that a legendary No. 9 would envy, taking full advantage of Nyland's spill in the Norwegian goal.

It was another great all around game from Bellingham, too, who was, as always, England's best progressor on the ball, racking up a whopping seven combined dribbles completed and fouls drawn as he fought hard with a physically strong Norway side.

Jude Bellingham is not going to go missing

The best and most underrated part of it all is that Jude Bellingham managed to make a big impact and be in the fights without giving up a yellow card. See, Jude, coming into the game, was at risk of suspension, because if he were to have picked a yellow card up, he would have been suspended for what could be a massive semifinal against Argentina - or another potential upset bid against Switzerland.

Given England would not have won against Mexico and Norway without Bellingham's clutch goals and all around performance, it is just as big of a deal for Jude to have scored those goals as it was for him to not have picked up a yellow card, thus avoiding potential disaster for the England national team by not having their No. 10 out there on the pitch, very likely against Lionel Messi and an on fire Argentina side (that many wonder may be getting some extra help "from above").

Bellingham will be 100 percent out there against either Argentina or Switzerland and ready to score, assist, tackle, dribble, and do everything else he does for the Three Lions at a world class level. And best of all, the yellow card resets, and so England do not have to worry about Jude getting suspended for the World Cup Final if he gets another booking in the semifinal. Jude has really become England's most important player.
