Real Madrid superstar center midfielder Jude Bellingham has made it six goals at the 2026 World Cup, as he and striker Harry Kane have become the first duo ever to reach six goals together in a single World Cup. It is a record many thought Ousmane Dembele and Kylian Mbappe would set with Dembele on five and Mbappe on seven goals at this World Cup after both scored apiece in the quarterfinals against Morocco to match an insane record held by Rivaldo and Ronaldo Nazario from that legendary World Cup winning 2002 Brazil team.

But with his second straight brace in the knockout stages, Bellingham is now on six goals. He showed the quality of a No. 10 on the ball for the first goal with the finishing of a striker for both, using his left for the first past Orjan Nyland whlie poaching the spilled rebound for the second.

Bellingham is untouchable right now, and even though he is a midfielder who creates chances, defends at an elite level, and progresses the ball as a dribbler better than anyone else in the World Cup right now, he is still scoring goals as good as any 9.

Jude Bellingham is in great company

In fact, Jude Bellingham has now joined some elite company at just the age of 23. He has now joined Pele and Kylian Mbappe as the only players to reach seven career World Cup goals at the age of 23, putting him in elite company with two of the greatest World Cup players ever. And better yet, these are two strikers who were starting World Cup games as teenagers; Jude is a midfielder and his first taste of World Cup action was in 2022, debuting at an older age than either Mbappe or Pele.

The other crazy thing is that Jude's 2026 World Cup is not over yet. With his brace, England came from behind against Norway and held on in extra time, advancing to the semifinals with a 2-1 win where they will face either Argentina or Switzerland.

So Bellingham could surpass matching Pele's tally of seven career World Cup goals at 23 and inch closer towards Kylian Mbappe's ridiculous - and possibly untouchable - mark of 12 goals. Bellingham and Mbappe have a bit of a friendly rivalry going on at Real Madrid, and no doubt their great World Cups will be a big talking point at the Santiago Bernabeu when both return from North America.
