Jude Bellingham is an integral part of this Real Madrid side. He has been from the moment he played his first minutes back in August of 2023.

Obviously, last season was tough, but not because he had a rough year performance-wise. However, not having a set position was a bit difficult, as he was always all over the place.

Now, under Xabi Alonso, it is clear that Bellingham will play as a midfielder first. Alonso has been vocal about it, and Bellingham was recently, too.

Things are good. Bellingham is important. The only problem is that the Englishman will not be around for the start of next season.

Jude Bellingham's shoulder recovery could take longer than expected

It is confirmed that the player will get surgery on his shoulder - finally - after the Club World Cup. It has been a long time coming, and it will finally happen.

It was earlier reported that he will miss 10-12 weeks of action after he gets the surgery. Now, according to Onda Cero, it is reported that he could miss up to four months of action.

Alberto Pereiro of Onda Cero claims that Bellingham could miss three to four months to recover from the surgery, which could mean the superstar makes his season debut in November.

Obviously, that is a long, long time. Maybe Real Madrid need a midfielder solely because of that reason. Missing the best midfielder in the world for four months could never be a good thing.

Although they have signed Franco Mastantuono, Real Madrid can still use another midfielder, as Luka Modric will also leave the club before the start of next season.

It is tough to see what Real Madrid would look like at that time, especially because of how crucial Bellingham is to their system.

Alonso has been brought in to make it work, however, and make it work he shall do.
